Before we start building, we need to hear what you're thinking. Everything is custom made for a Bassinet Boatworks barstool - from the names we carve on the transoms, to the height and color of the powder-coated legs. Maybe you want to add your club's or family's burgee. It's all good!

Our Process
How long does it take?
We make two versions of our barstools - a high back and a low back - and each one is custom made to order. Once you approve the design, it'll take us somewhere between 6 to 8 weeks to deliver them.
How are they built?
We build our barstools like a custom wooden boat — with responsibly harvested mahogany and maple strip-built seats to resemble a traditional yacht "wineglass transom." We'll help you design the look of the names - and if you'd like - we'll even help generate some name ideas. We use a state-of-the-art CNC carving system to engrave your unique names on the transom outside, along with our Bassinet Boatworks insignia on the transom inside. In parallel, our metal fabrication shop is hand-bending and welding the custom stool legs so they fit perfectly beneath your bar or center island. Then we powder coat the legs with a weatherproof, super hard finish and coat each barstool with several coats of clear satin yacht spar varnish. Finally, we hand gild the carved lettering and insignia.
